COPENHAGEN
INTHEGALLERY Copenhagen opened its doors in 2012 as a contemporary art gallery in the centre of Copenhagen, dedicated to showcasing emerging and established artists working predominantly with camera-based art. While our main focus is on photography, INTHEGALLERY occasionally widens its curatorial scope to include exhibitions by artists working in other media, particularly when the artworks establish an aesthetic or conceptual connection to photography.
Together with our space in Palma de Mallorca, Copenhagen forms one half of the gallery’s dual identity: while Palma opens onto a broader international scene, our Copenhagen programme stays rooted in the Nordic photography scene, presenting both emerging and established artists from the region. Once a year, we widen the lens further and invite an artist from outside the Nordics to exhibit alongside our regular programme.
As our headquarters and showroom, Copenhagen is also where INTHEGALLERY’s international outlook takes shape: we participate annually in major art fairs across Europe, the United States, Asia, and Australia, building bridges between artists, collectors, and institutions worldwide.
Our exhibition programme is created by in-house and visiting curators. Alongside showcasing innovative art, we host artist talks and other opportunities for dialogue between artists and audience.

PALMA MUSEUM
INTHEGALLERY has an exhibition space in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, located in the heart of the contemporary art square, in close proximity to the Es Baluard Museum of Contemporary Art.
Palma is the more internationally-facing half of the gallery’s dual identity: while our Copenhagen programme centres on the Nordic scene, Palma’s centres on Danish photography while embracing a broader international outlook, reflecting the more international collector base we meet here. Alongside our core roster of Danish artists, we regularly invite photographers from abroad to exhibit.
Our artists’ work has been shown in museums and private collections across Europe, including Fotografiska in Stockholm and the Royal Palace in Copenhagen. It has also featured in major art fairs and high-profile collaborations worldwide.
INTHEGALLERY is a member of AIPAD, the Association of International Photography Art Dealers and is also part of Artsy, the world’s largest online art marketplace.
